Kernel-based Tracking in Ultrasound Sequences of Liver
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: Object tracking in 2D ultrasound sequences of liver to infer real-time respiratory organ movement and offer motion compensation in image-guided abdominal interventions. Methods: A kernel-based tracking algorithm that is adaptive to scale and orientation changes of the tracking target is applied to 54 vessel targets in 21 ultrasound sequences acquired from volunteers under free breathing. Tracking performance is evaluated based on manually annotated ground truth information. Results: Tracking results show that the algorithm is able to track the assessed targets in a precise and robust manner in real-time performance. The overall mean tracking error is 1.43 ± 1.22 mm.

Using a Novel Concept of Potential Pixel Energy for Object Tracking
Abstract In this paper, we propose a new method for kernel based object tracking which tracks the complete non rigid object. Definition the union image blob and mapping it to a new representation which we named as potential pixels matrix are the main part of tracking algorithm. The union image blob is constructed by expanding the previous object region based on the histogram feature. The pote...

Visual Servoing is generally contained of control and feature tracking. Study of previous methods shows that no attempt has been made to optimize these two parts together. In kernel based visual servoing method, the main objective is to combine and optimize these two parts together and to make an entire control loop. This main target is accomplished by using Lyapanov theory. A Lyapanov candidat...
متن کاملA Learning-Based Approach for Fast and Robust Vessel Tracking in Long Ultrasound Sequences
We propose a learning-based method for robust tracking in long ultrasound sequences for image guidance applications. The framework is based on a scale-adaptive block-matching and temporal realignment driven by the image appearance learned from an initial training phase. The latter is introduced to avoid error accumulation over long sequences. The vessel tracking performance is assessed on long ...
متن کاملAutomatic classification of Non-alcoholic fatty liver using texture features from ultrasound images
Background: Accurate and early detection of non-alcoholic fatty liver, which is a major cause of chronic diseases is very important and is vital to prevent the complications associated with this disease. Ultrasound of the liver is the most common and widely performed method of diagnosing fatty liver. However, due to the low quality of ultrasound images, the need for an automatic and intelligent...
متن کاملMotion Tracking in 2D Ultrasound Using Vessel Models and Robust Optic-Flow
Planned delivery of focused therapy is adversely affected by internal body motion, such as from breathing, which could be mitigated, if tracked accurately in real-time. By extending an algorithm for superficial vein tracking, we hereby present a robust real-time motion tracking method for 2D ultrasound image sequences of the liver. The method leverages elliptic and template-based models of vess...
